Jardim Botânico Fanchette Rischbieter was opened in 1991, and has an area of 245,000 m² (2,637,160 sq.ft.).
Its geometrical gardens and the three dome greenhouse have become one of the main postcards of Curitiba.
The greenhouse is home to rare plant species from all over Brazil.
Its architecture in metal and art-nouveau style structure, was inspired by a crystal palace that existed in London in the 19th century.
